10 Pinterest Motivated Moving Hacks

I hate moving. I dislike it so much that I put things off packing for months, till it's the night prior to and I'm sobbing over the dozens of boxes I still have to pack. The last time we moved, I searched the web for the very best hacks to make the whole process much easier for me, and here are my favorites!
Color Coded Boxes
Including an intense piece of various colored neon duct tape to each box will assist you quickly find out what room each box belongs in without needing to read or open package. When you get to your brand-new home, color code each space by putting post it keeps in mind in corresponding colors on each door. This will be an excellent assistance to any family or friends who are assisting you move, and it makes the whole process a bit quicker.
Use Plastic Totes For Breakables & Heavier Products
To be truthful, I utilized plastic totes for nearly everything during our last move. They're specifically practical for dishes, heavy books, and any other products you don't wish to fall out the bottom of a cardboard box.
Pack Your Match Cases

It may seem apparent, however your existing travel luggage, carry bags, and so on, can be used to move items to your brand-new location! Rolling luggage is especially beneficial for heavier items that you don't wish to bring.
Put Hanging Clothes In Trash Bags
I remember thinking that this was such a genius hack when I initially read it a couple of years earlier, and I was right! Just lot your clothes on hangers close together, and lift a trash can over them. When you get to the brand-new house, merely hang the clothes back up and pull the garbage bag off.
Pack An Essentials Box
This was a life-saver for us! Load a box full of items you might need throughout your first night at the new place. This includes a flashlight, take-out menus, cleaning supplies, animal food, plastic plates and utensils, an extension cable, tools, mineral water and anything else you may require throughout that disorderly first day.
Use Soft Home Items For Packing
This isn't so much of a Pinterest hack as it is a "my granny taught me this" hack. I don't think I have actually ever gotten anything breakable from my granny that wasn't covered in a towel or two. You could use towels, dishcloths, clothes or blankets as additional cushioning in boxes with breakables.
Usage Large Ziploc Bags To Keep Like Products Together
Big Ziploc bags are perfect for keeping smaller products like flatware, cosmetics, or fashion jewelry organized and together.
Tape Or Bag Up All Products That Can Spill
Nothing is worse than getting somewhere, opening a bag and seeing that your hair shampoo spilled all over whatever. After a long day of moving, that would suffice to make anyone wish to toss the entire box. To avoid this, tape the top of any items that might be a spill risk, or carry them in different Ziploc bags.
Tape Cables To The Electronics They Belong To
I can not count the amount of times we've moved and I could not find the ideal power cable television for something. Somehow, I usually end up with a random bag of cords that ultimately get figured out later on. In fact, now that I think of it, I think I still have a big bag full of cable televisions in my basement from our last relocation. Avoid this by utilizing a bit of electrical tape to tape down the cable to the appropriate electronic. Just don't forget to eliminate any tape prior to utilizing it.
Keep A Plastic Tote Of Belongings And Important Files
How many of you have your passport or birth certificate in a random drawer currently? Or a fashion jewelry box loaded with invaluable pieces of precious jewelry?
